Push-to-Talk Over Cellular (PoC), also called SmartRadio, is a technology that allows for instant, group voice communication over a cellular network. It gives users the same experience as using traditional two-way radios, but with the added benefit of unlimited range and a host of additional features not readily available on conventional two-way radio networks.
For G6 Global the mainstay of communications for many of our clients is LYNX-PTT. This is our SmartRadio offering and uses established 4G and 5G networks, coupled together with WiFi to give national and global digital radio PTT coverage.

G6 LYNX-PTT system offers a secure platform with full end-to-end encryption of all signalling and voice functions. LYNX-PTT uses 4G and 5G cellular data to provide connection to the server, and with our multi-network SIM cards, can use any of the four major UK cellular providers to connect, providing an extremely high level of redundancy. In addition, if a device is WiFi compatible, it can connect to any available WiFi network or hotspot.
With full duplication of servers in geographically dispersed locations, LYNX-PTT boasts an extremely high availability level.
LYNX-PTT provides advanced interoperability with digital two-way radio (DMR) via secure gateways, allowing full interconnection between LTE and UHF/VHF DMR radio networks.
X.CONTROL is LYNX-PTT’s Communication, Command & Control (C3) Solution with powerful and flexible features, and the ability to configure custom consoles to display things exactly as you want to see them.
X.CONNECT is LYNX-PTT’s mobile application designed for Android smartphones, and dedicated PTT devices.
