Here at G6 we can help you get the most from your investment and advise on its possible integration with other systems. Many digital users come to the protocol from older analogue systems; this gives us an in depth understanding of how users migrate and their service needs.
(DMR) Digital Mobile Radio uses TDMA (time division multiple access) - it allows several users to share the same frequency channel by dividing the signal into different time slots. The users transmit in rapid succession, one after the other, each using its own time slot. This allows for low cost, high complexity and a wide interoperability that enables functionality that includes lone worker, GPS, encryption, man down and location services. DMR is extremely open to customisation. DMR, as a technology is still expanding; in 2019 the DMR Association published figures of over twelve million users.
Icom’s IDAS Digital Two-Way Radio (NXDN/dPMR) is a narrowband (6,25 kHz) FDMA technology that is 100% digital, offering voice and data applications. Provides double the channel capacity over analogue radios with digital clarity.
